Accounts Payable Specialist


Full time Accounts Payable Specialist needed for fast paced corporate office in Scottsdale, located near Gainey Village. Ideal candidate would have 2-4 years accounts payable experience or other relevant accounting experience and be highly motivated to provide efficiency and accuracy to the department. Direct Supervisor would be Staff Accountant but would also work with Vice President of Finance and Cost Manager.
Our company is a successful manufacturing firm with operational plants located in CA and SC. Looking for an individual seeking a long term opportunity with growth potential. $16-$20/hour based on experience.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities
Enter invoices in ERP system
Coding invoices based on historical data
Matching PO/Packing Slip/BOL to invoice to ensure accurate receiving/payment
Prepare and process weekly check run
Reconcile vendor statements
Research discrepancies between invoices and PO's
Communicate daily with Purchasing agents in CA and SC
Maintain accurate records in accounts payable files
Track use tax owed
Special projects as assigned
Work directly with Staff Accountant on monthly reconciliation of A/P ledger and unbilled PO reports

Skills and Attributes
2-4 years experience in Accounts Payable
Able to meet deadlines
Excellent organizational and analytical skills
Able to be an effective team member and display initiative
Accuracy is imperative
Ability to handle confidential information in a discreet and professional manner
Able to prioritize and to multi-task in a fast paced environment
Experience with an ERP system is a plus
Experience in a manufacturing environment a plusEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
